Beets

We are in an organic produce co-op, and this past week we got beets. Yuk! I can't stand beets. But Adam likes them, so at least they'll get eaten. That is if I can figure out how to cook them. Any suggestions out there? I don't think I've ever even held a fresh beet before.

I have a whole ton of things to be thankful for in November, but one is that none of my children (or myself) were hurt when our bedroom ceiling fell down last week. It was very loud and scary and was followed by complete silence. Crying would have been a very welcome sound in this situation! Joshua and Abigail like to play in our bedroom, but I am SO thankful that they were just around the corner when it happened. Adam is going to do the repairs himself as soon as this semester is over. So for now we're sleeping on the sleeper sofa. :-)
